Privacy policy

The Mova app

  • What you type is never sent or stored: only the current and the previous word are kept in memory. Mova sees no keys in password fields.
  • Once a day Mova checks GitHub for updates and confirms the license with our server. For the license it sends the key, an anonymous Mac identifier (a hash that cannot be turned back into a serial number) and the Mova version.
  • No analytics, no ads, no accounts.

The site

  • The site uses no analytics and no cookies. Your theme choice is kept only in your browser.
  • The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; like any host, GitHub sees the visitor’s IP address.

What we process and why

  • Purchase: email, chosen edition, amount, payment status and the monobank invoice number — to deliver and support the license and keep the sole proprietor’s accounts. Card data is processed by the bank; we never see it.
  • License: key, email, anonymous Mac identifiers, activation and last check dates — to count Macs and recover keys.
  • Contact form: name, email and message — to reply; IP address — against spam, kept for one day.

Who else sees the data

  • JSC Universal Bank (monobank) — payments.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — license server and database (hosted in the EU).
  • Resend — sending email (EU region).
  • GitHub, Inc. — the site and update files.

We do not sell data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Retention

Purchase and license data are kept while the license is valid and as long as tax accounting requires. Contact messages — until the question is resolved. IP addresses for spam protection — one day.

Your rights

Under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” (and the GDPR for EU residents) you can ask what data we hold, correct it, ask us to delete it or object to processing. Write to support@yuri-val.dev. Deleting license data means revoking the license.

Changes

We update this page when data processing changes and show the date of the new version.
